The hotel facilities are beautiful and unlike any other I've seen.
In this hotel the treatment between national and international tourists is. differentiated and not in a positive way. we arrived at the hotel, my brother and I checked in at the reception desk without any other guests waiting. they were going to take us to the rooms, several groups of foreigners began to arrive, so they left us aside to attend to them, they even began to take them to their rooms before us. After complaining five times about not being given access to my room and waiting for half an hour, reluctant employee took me back to my villa and told me that they had been delayed because English and German tourists had arrived from the airport and had to be attended to quickly. Before this, same receptionist refused to give me the key to my room because I had to take a larger group to her villa, she even had the bellman run my bags off the road and put them aside to make room for the tourists. He talked down to me the whole time, as if my complaints weren't his problem. treatment only changed when my mother (German, blonde and blue-eyed) arrived at the hotel a few hours later. I certainly paid a lot of money for a place that made me feel DISCRIMINATED IN MY OWN COUNTRY. weekend that was supposed to be special ended up being an expensive and bitter drink. Besides the clearly differentiated treatment, I cannot recommend the food. dishes I tasted were tasteless and their prices did not reflect reality. Several dishes had been deconstructed into what they were supposed to be. filet mignon had no bacon in it, that is, it was just a piece of meat with no flavor, rice pudding was a pudding, stuffed mushrooms were raw and bitter as if they had been burned and covered with sauce. FOOD WAS EXPENSIVE AND DISAPPOINTING.

Location, landscape and facilities of the hotel are very beautiful. food is very good.
Unfortunately for being national tourists my husband and I did not receive the same treatment as other lucky foreign visitors. During the check in the receptionist left us waiting at a table next to a bathroom while she received a European family that arrived after us. Due to the long wait we decided to have lunch to shorten the time but the waiters who were preparing the tables of the restaurant recommended us to eat on the terrace of one of the pools. We accepted the recommendation but when we arrived at the pool after walking for almost 10 minutes we saw that the place was not suitable for eating. The sun was intense and there was no table where we could eat comfortably. Not even an umbrella where we could protect ourselves from the intense sun. We returned tired and hungry and when we arrived at the restaurant again the waiter who recommended us said that it was difficult to eat there because of the sun. He placed us at an undressed table in the middle of the aisle. Immediately a group of foreigners arrived and were cordially seated at a table with table linen and other cutlery. The difference in treatment was more than clear! The next day we found out that the place is not much visited by national tourists but the contradictory thing is that they did receive our dollars and, curiously enough, we were badly treated by Costa Rican staff. Now we understand why many Ticos prefer to leave the country. Very unfortunate.

For couples looking to unwind
Upon arrival, the staff provided really good service, especially Mario, who greeted us warmly with chocolate strawberries in our room! And I must say, the views from the outdoor pools were fine, like looking into the heart of nature itself.
It wasn't inexpensive, that's for sure, but it felt worth it.

We stayed there for one night and had a just perfect experience, would love to return. The hotel was spotless, facilities where clean, unbeatable location just off a rainforest, the waterfalls that are located on the resort before breakfast and a hill in a pretty garden. The breakfast was plentiful and served in the patio with variety of food.

Xandari exceeded my expectations during my recent business trip. The room was spacious and well-equipped, offering fine views of the valley. The staff provided really good service, efficiently assisting with my requests. The dining experience was excellent, with fresh local ingredients that contributed to a good breakfast each morning. The serene setting made it easy to focus on work while also offering an inviting atmosphere for relaxation during off-hours.
Some noise from nearby flights during peak hours.

great views but lacked a few amenities
The view from our Ultra Villa King Bed was lovely! The private pool was a delight, especially for my daughter. The staff were cute, and. We loved looking out at the lush gardens and fine mountains around us.
The lack of variety in the room amenities could be improved.
